DK Pandey may become Director General of Police in Jharkhand.
Pandey,who was Additional Director General of Police,CRPF,has returned to Jharkhand.The state government led by CM Raghubar Das is going to appoint him DGP.
If this happened,Pandey will succeed DGP Ravi Kumar.
Pandey,1984 batch IPS of the Jharkhand cadre,had served this state as IG Bokaro and Ranchi.He was later promoted as ADG.He had served the ITBP from 1996 to 2002 and was posted in CRPF in 2011.
Incidentally, Rajiv Kumar took over the reins of DGP in 2013.He is credited with the peaceful conduct of the 2014 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
