
The Jharkhand Government will set up district-level committees headed by MPs to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the people of the state.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das has said every district electricity committee would be headed by the MP of the district and if there is a second MP from the same district, he or she would become joint chairman, a press release in Ranchi said.
Besides, MLAs, panchayat heads, District Board chairperson would be members of the committee and the deputy commissioner of the district would be the convener of the committee, he said.
The committee would meet once in every three months to review the power situation and give suggestions to the energy department.
