Delhi Waveriders defeated Ranchi Rays 2-0 in the Hero Hockey India League at the Major Dhyan Chand stadium in the national Capital today.
Defender Rupinder Pal Singh stole the limelight of the match but it was Lloyd Norris-Jones and Akashdeep Singh, who scored the goals as Delhi took a big step towards taking their overall points to 22.
Delhi looked a confident side right from the start. Ranchi Rays, who were placed second in the table, started the third quarter on a positive note but Delhi dominated the match.
