Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that Deemed Skill University would be set up in the State. Initiative has already been taken in this direction and talks are on with Tata Institute of Social Studies and other experts in the country, added Das.
He gave this indication while addressing at the National University Students Development program organized by the Ranchi University today. Youths should get degrees which are significant and relevant to the contemporary requirement, said Das and added that Deemed University would provide technical education to more than one crore youths after which NRIs would be invited for setting up business ventures in the country.
The Chief Minister focused on providing skill development education to students after Class V and said that there would be separate budget allocation for this. Skill classes in schools would start in 2016-17, added Das.
He said that meeting would be held next month with representatives of corporate houses to seek their advise on the skill development curriculum so that courses could be decided according to the demand.
