A part of Birsa Munda Football stadium was packed with BJP–AJSU members and state government officials eventhough a group of tribals had called for the bandh to protest against the BJP’s move to make non-tribal Das as Jharkhand’s CM.

BJP president Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi who were reported to grace the event by their presence,preferred not to arrive at the Birsa Munda Football stadium.

The instructions to party workers organising the affair were clear.Line up the party workers and supporters first.Surrounded by security forces Das arrived and stepped up the dias carrying ‘Tilak’ on his forehead.

After the swearing -in function ended,with Das and four persons taking oath as Ministers-CP Singh,Neelkath Singh Munda,Chandra Prakash Choudhary and Louis Marandi-the national anthem was played.

Subsequently,Das and his four ministers offered flowers over Birsa Munda’s statue.rushed to the BJP office only to go to Project Bhawan-State Secretariat-to hold their first Cabinet meeting.On the way,Das stopped his car at Karamtoli Chowk and cleaned a road by using a broom.

Inside the Secretariat,a report showed that Raghwar Das has a major task ahead.One,he has to decide who will be his Principal Secretary,Chief Secretary and Secretaries/Principal Secretaries of different departments.

Two,apart from promising to speed up development process,the Das government has to make use of the maximum fund during the current financial year ending on March 31.During the coming three months,Das government has to clear files pertaining to development funds worth more than Rs 4000 crore before the financial year ends.
