Rs 55,492 crore annual budget presented by Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das on the floor of the Assembly in Ranchi today promises to develop agriculture,industry,highways and education sector prominently during 2015-15.
“Our top priority is to work transparently for the people,especially poorest of the poor”,said Das addressing media persons after presenting the budget on floor of the Assembly.
Main features of the Raghubar Das government’s first annual Budget 2015-16 are as follows:
*Special focus on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and building toilets in goverrnment schools
*New capital will be priority
*Ranchi ring road’s will be constructed
*New High Court building to be constructed
*Special attention on education, health sectors
*200 km railway lines to be laid down
*Irrigation to be undertaken on 94,654 hectare land
*Govt school to get LED lights, Govt offices to get solar power plants
*Govt to help in setting up Press club; medical facilities for journalists also on priority
*State developmeny Council to be set up and to meet once in three months
*District-level Tribal Development Council to be formed
* Ganga banks to be developed into model areas
*Monorail projects to be taken up
*Development projects to be increased, e-governance to be promoted
*State Govt to provide speedy ambulance services
*All national highways to get trauma centres
*Women drivers to get free driving license
*Anti-corruption bureaus, civil services board to be formed
*State Govt to kickstart CM Vidya Laxmi Yojana from next year
*Three new medcial colleges in Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Palamu; 13 polytechnic colleges in state
*Knowledge city in Khunti
In advance,before tabling it on the floor of the house,Das met Governor Syed Ahmed and handed over to him a copy of the budget.
