Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today asked residents of the state to send their children to schools.
He visited Angada block of Ranchi with HRD Secretary Aradhana Patnaik and met guardians and told them to send their wards to schools, an official said.
The Chief Minister assured support to a girl in pursuing her studies after he learned that the girl could not pursue eduction after Class VIII due to financial reason, the official said.
In his budget speech, the Chief Minister had pointed out that his government was keen to provide quality and higher studies to 19, 950 drop out girl students. He also expressed concern over the low literacy average among women.
