CS targets increased revenue for state

The Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba while addressing a meeting with senior officials at the Project Bhavan in Ranchi today, said that the project based revenue collection in the state should be expedited in order to enhance the economic development of the state. He said that transparency is essential and the work should be done in compliance with the rules.

For the collection of revenue, it is imperative that the land acquisitions issues of the mineral-based projects be resolved. Gauba directed the Chief Secretary of the Finance Department and the Secretary of Revenue Department to hold periodic review meetings to oversee the quick resolution of cases relating to certification.

The Secretary of the Revenue Department informed that the revenue collection will increase as soon as the land acquisition process is completed. A total revenue of Rs 21,004 crore is targeted for the financial year 2015-2016.
