The Congress said today that it will not take part in Jharkhand bandh which has been called by the opposition parties on May 4 in protest against the land acquisition bill.
“Congress has already undertaken a nationwide protest against Modi government’s land acquisition bill, hence it will not be proper to stage a parallel protest in the state,” party’s media wing leader Kishorenath Shahdeo told reporters in Ranchi.
The key opposition parties of Jharkhand have called a day-long bandh on May 4 in protest against the land bill of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre.
However, essential services like schools, ambulance services and others would be kept out of the purview of the bandh.
