Composite Regional Centre to be set up in Jharkhand for Persons with Disabilities

Jharkhand is going to get Composite Regional Centre(CRC) for persons with disabilities.This was the outcome of the awareness campaign organized by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in league with the state Social Welfare Department under the banner of Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan inside BNR Chanakya hotel in Ranchi on September 6,2016.

In fact,Composite Regional Centre for CRC is a service modality set under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment,Government of India.CRC undertakes centre –based and camp –based rehabilitation related activities,in addition to functioning as resource centre for persons with disabilities.

As per the government policy,three percent reservation was accorded to persons with disability.Since the cut off marks was kept high,persons with disability failed to make use of it.

Inorder to end the bag log of vacancies,the state government has decided to keep the cut off marks low for their appointment.This cut off marks will be less than those kept for the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. ”

This declaration was made by Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das while addressing the awareness campaign organized by the state Social Welfare Department under the banner of Central government’s ‘Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan’ inside BNR Chanakya hotel in Ranchi on September 6,2016.

Addressing the workshop,Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment,Krisna Pal Gurjar announced that persons with disability will get ‘hassle free’ service in 50 cities of the country.

“There will be a single window system for the persons with disability”,said Jharkhand Minister Dr Louis Marandi.
