CM wants Centre to expedite implementation of ultra mega power project in Dumka

IMG-20150408-WA0005Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has appealed to Union Minister of State for Energy,Piush Goel to direct the Power Finance
Corporation to expedite the process of implementation of the 4000 ultra mega ward power project in Deoghra so that it can be completed within its time limit.

Also, Das requested him to ensure that coal block is provided to the project by the Union Coal Ministry.

In his letter addressed to Goel,the CM has expressed his sense of unsatisfaction over the slow process of implementation of the project.He pointed out that though the Deoghar District administration had sought Rs 256 crore for acquisition of 1652 acres of private land,Power Finance Corporation had neither paid the money nor notified it till date.

“The Deoghar District administration has already started the process to transfer 321.95 acres of the government land.But the Deoghar Mega Power Ltd had not not provided any information in connection with the form of the land”,states Das in his letter.

Das said,the state government had cleared the project’s implementation in Hussainabad in June 2012 and provided the right to utilize 80.25 million cubic metre of water from the Ajay river.”Which is why the process of its implementation must be expedited”,writes Das.
