Led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das,Jharkhand government today launched a two day summit to boost the food processing industry in the state.
Billed as ‘Advance Jharkhand-Food Processing Investors’,the summit was inaugurated by the CM Das inside Ramdyal Munda Kala Bhawan,Hotwar in Ranchi.On the inaugural day,indistrialists were addressed by Das.
Also,during the launch of the seminar,Das presented a shawl to Jharkhand’s reputed businessman M K Jalan.
Among prominent aim behind the move is to reduce wastage of farm produce and to make an attempt to put the state on the food processing map of India.
“This two day seminar aims to encourage the producers and processors on the same pedestal for easy information exchange with the industries department.It laos aims to0 providing facilitative arrangements for the successful establishment of food processing enterprises in the sector,” said a senior officer of the Indusstry Department.
“We are working to attract and sensitise investors about opportunities arising in the state in different sectors and identify key investment opportunities”,said another officer.
To reduce wastage of farm produce and to profile the state on the food processing map of India are other main objectives of the summit, it added.
