Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today launched Burnpur Cement Plant(BCP) at Patratu in Jharkhand.
BCM with an investment of about Rs 200 crore and having its limestones mines at Benti Begda near the site of its plant at Patratu,aims to produce 800 tonne cement per day.
Incidentally,the company had completed its financial closure of term loan for the Patratu project with a consortium of banks led by State Bank of India (SBI) and comprising State Bank of Hyderabad, United Bank of India and Central bank of India.
BCP which markets its product under the brand name of “Burnpur Cement”, has a production capacity of 1,000 tonne cement per day with its existing unit at Asansol, West Bengal.
Addressing the inaugural function of BICM,Das said that in every district one small or medium steel plant should be set up so that youths get employment opportunities.”If there is a coordination between the workers and the owners,production will increase and development take place”,said Das.
BICM is expected to provide job to nearly 500 people.
The inaugural function was attended among others by BICM ‘sManoj Agrawal,PP Agrawal,RP Agrawal,Federal of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ratan Modi,Director General of Polce Upendra Kumar,Ramgarh DC and its SP.
