The Circle Officer of Hiranpur block in Pakur district, Devraj Gupta, was arrested today by the State Vigilance on graft charge.
The vigilance team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Bhargav from Ranchi and Dumka arrested Devraj Gupta while accepting Rs 20,000 from one Uttam Kumar Das.
Das was involved in a property dispute with one Panchanan Beet. Gupta had allegedly demanded Rs 20,000 from Das for getting favour.
Das had complained to the Vigilance Department, which laid a trap and arrested Gupta.
