A vigilance court has framed charges against former Ranchi Mayor Rama Khalkho and two others in a case of trading cash for votes during mayoral elections in 2013.
Reportedly on April 7, 2013, the police had seized Rs 21.9 lakh in cash from a hotel in Ranchi.
The seizure was made a day before mayoral elections and an FIR was registered against Khalkho, Congress leader Niranjan Sharma and his alleged associate Sudhir Kumar Sahu. All the three accused are on bail now.
