Jharkhand Governor cum Chancellor Syed Ahmed has used his power under Section 69(4) of the Jharkhand State University Act,to place ex Chairman of Jharkhand Public Service Commission Dr Dilip Prasad and its Member Dr Shanti Devi under suspension and ordered that disciplinary action be initiated against them.
Both Dr Prasad and Dr Devi,who were in jail,were facing the charges of unfairmeans.After they came out of jail on bail,the Ranchi University had withdran its order of suspension and allowed them to continue teaching.
Along side.since the withdrawal of suspension was ordered by the then Vice Chancellor and Registrar,Governor Ahmed has sought explanation from them as to why they revoked their suspension.
