Call for shutdown in Jharkhand by CPI (Maoist)

The Communist Party of India (Maoist) today gave a call for a shutdown in Jharkhand and Bihar in protest against the death of CPI (Maoist) cadres who had been killed during an encounter in Hazaribagh district recently.

The effect of shutdown was visible in the Latehar district of Jharkhand, where no public transport or heavy vehicles were seen plying on the National Highway (NH) 75 and NH 99.

The CRPF conducted security operation in the jungles outside Bukar village under the jurisdiction of the Chauparan police station.
