Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today directed concerned officers to build and run a Sports University by using the mega sports complex at Hotwar,Ranchi.
Das told the officials of the Art,Culture and Sports to ensure that Sports University is set up.”A plan in this regard be made this month to present it before the Cabinet”,Das directed them in a meeting held inside Prject Bhawan in Ranchi today.
“There is no shortage of talents in sports in this state.The need was to provide them proper education and training.Normally,the parents are concerned about the education of their child.In the field of sports,the development of the child had to go together with their development in education”,the CM observed.
During the meeting,the officials of JINFRA offered a presentation on development of Sports Universsity.The meeting was attended among others by Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba,Principal Secretary(Finance) Raj Bala Verma,Principal Secretary to CM wsanjay Kumar and Secretary(Sports)Vandana Dadel

In another meeting,Das directed the concerned officers to set up State Engineering University in Palamau.Toward the same end,he directed the Deputy Commissioner,Palamau,to identify the land and after the site was selected,infrastructure should be built
