Two days before Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren seeks a trust vote on the floor of the Assembly on July 18,two incidents have rocked this state.
In the first incident,BJP leader Sarayu Roy in a press conference held on Monday demanded a probe by Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate into setting up of 28 companies in Kolkata. Most of these companies were located in one place-17 Ganeshchandra Avenue,Kolkata.
“Crores of rupees of black money were used to open these companies. While Director of atleast 16 companies was Radha Krishna Agrawal,in atleast eight companies,Director was Ravi Kejriwal”,alleged Roy,who is credited to have exposed Madhu Koda scam.
Incidentally,Kejriwal,a pal of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, was associated with the JMM.
In the second incident, a man was arrested for attempting to bribe suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Baijnath Ram on Tuesday.
Harshit alias Suman Chaudhary was arrested from the residence of Jharkhand’s former education minister and suspended BJP legislator Baijnath Ram Monday night.
Ram had alleged that Chaudhary offered him money to vote in favour of Hemant Soren’s government, which will seek a trust vote in the Assembly on July 18.
The JMM had reacted to the allegation saying Choudhary was not a member of his pary.”The accused is not linked to JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morha). The BJP is hatching a conspiracy against our party,” JMM legislator Haji Hussain Ansari said.
