Birsa Munda Football stadium in Ranchi is being decked up.Apart from cleaning its land and ground,a pandal has been set up right on the ground. It is on this fabricated pandal where Raghubar Das will take oath as Jharkhand’s first non-tribal chief minister on Sunday.
Das, a five-time BJP legislator from East Jamshedpur, will be the 10th Chief Minister of Jharkhand.
He will take oath at 11 a.m.tomorrow.Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
Reports claim that BJP president Amit Shah and chief ministers of some BJP-ruled states will also attend the event. The AJSU is said to be part of the BJP government.
Although tribals make up nearly 27 per cent of Jharkhand’s population, the state has always had a tribal chief minister. Das,who belongs to Backward caste, will be an exception.
