Gaya in Bihar today witnessed top brass of two states-Bihar and Jharkhand-guided by Union Ministry of Home Affairs-meet,discuss and plan to jointly counter Maoists.
“The plan is to deal with Left Wing Extremist Organisations jointly”,said a senior IPS officer who attended the meeting.
Incidentally,the meeting was chaired by Home Ministry’s Additional Secretary Jaideep Govind.They reportedly discussed ‘nine points’ on the issue and resolved to act unitedly.
Biahr IG(Operation) SM Khopde said the meeting was called to chalk out a joint operation and ways to deal with the Left Wing Extremists in neighbouring areas of Bihar and Jharkhand.
The meeting was attended among others by Jharkhand’s ADG(Operations) S M Pradhan,Hazaribagh,Chatra,Koderma SPs,DCs and CRPF,COBRA and SSB personnel.
