Ayurvedic Care Centre coming to Jamshedpur

In a landmark agreement to facilitate Ayurvedic care of highest quality in Jamshedpur, Arogya Bhawan and Arya Vaidya Sala (AVS), Kottakkal today signed an agreement in Board Room, Corporate Center, Tata Steel to start the ‘Ayurvedic Medical Center’ in Jamshedpur.

Sunil Bhaskaran, Dy. VP, Corporate Services, Tata Steel described the collaboration between Arogya Bhawan and Arya Vaidya Sala (AVS), Kottakkal as an opportunity to improve the holistic healthcare system at Jamshedpur.

He said ‘To this end, Tata Steel shall provide as much support as possible to the collaboration to introduce the highest quality Ayurvedic care in Jamshedpur. Further, certain other opportunities like sourcing of agricultural produce of medicinal herbs and plants for AVS could also be explored.’ Bhaskaran also expressed hope that the collaboration shall make the AVS centre at Arogya Bhawan, a regional center of excellence in Ayurveda.

Arogya Bhawan at Jamshedpur was established in 1970 with an objective to provide quality health care through indigenous systems of medicine, naturopathy and yoga.

Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal, medical center at Arogyabhawan envisages providing quality health care services through classical therapies including Kerala Special therapies. Initially the plan is to operate outpatient and walk in treatment facilities and later provide a full-fledged in patient facility to cater to the felt needs of people in the steel city and surrounding states.

The medical center would be headed by Dr. P Mohanan Warrier, who is having three decades of clinical experience. Expert therapists (Male & Female) and other supportive staffs have been posted to the center and would join shortly. We also have plans to open new exclusive dealerships in the Eastern India.

Arya Vaidya Sala (AVS), Kottakkal is a 111 years old charitable trust engaged primarily in the practice and propagation of the Indian traditional health care system of Ayurveda. It was established at Kottakkal in 1902 by the illustrious visionary, Vaidyaratnam P S Varier.
