Ashwani Lohani appointed as new chairman of Air India

airindia_jpgAshwani Lohani was today appointed as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Air India Ltd for three years.

He will replace Rohit Nandan, whose extended tenure ends tomorrow (Friday).

His appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet. Lohani, a 1980 batch Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) officer will take over as CMD, Air India Ltd for a tenure of three years, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said.

He is presently working as Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation in Bhopal.
