Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of Khuti Devendra Bhushan Singh accused of misbehaving with a minor girl in Ranchi is absconding, said the police today.
“An arrest warrant has been issued against the DDC and we are trying to arrest the absconding individual,” added the police.
This issue came up in the Jharkhand High Court yesterday. While hearing the case, a Bench headed by Chief Justice Virendra Singh said: “Where is DDC? Has air engulfed the DDC. The police should step up efforts to trace the DDC.”
A minor girl lodged a police complaint last month that the DDC misbehaved with her when she went to his office for some work.
