ARMY Chief to visit Hemraj’s village


Indian Army Chief General Bikram Singh,who said today that the killing of two Indian soldiers on the LoC on Jan 6 was a pre-planned and pre-meditated action by Pakistani troops,has promised to visit the  family of the Martyr Lance Naik Hemraj at their ancestral place in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district on Tuesday.

The army chief’s promise came from him after Hemraj’s family sought his visit as a condition to end their indefinite fast.Their fast entered into sixth day on Monday.

The army chief told told Headlines Today that he would visit Hemraj’s village, about 160 km from the national capital, after the Army Day celebrations.
