Evenas the wave of anger and uproar over the horrific gang rape of a Delhi girl on a moving bus sweeps India,another case of rape has come to light.
This case is about a teenage girl belonging to Faridabad near Delhi.She has alleged that she was repeatedly raped by her land lord in the presence of her mother.
In her written complaint,the 17 –year old girl has named the land lord Ahmed Lekh,a resident of Bijnor district in Utter Pradesh.”When I had gone there to attend a wedding,I was raped several times”,she alleged in her complaint.
She alleged that she did not dare to file complaint earlier because Lekh had threatened her of dire consequence if she dared to make it public.
The police is yet to take action in this case.”We are trying to enquire into the bonafides of her claims”,said a senior police officer of Faridabad.”Since the crime is claimed to have occurred in Bijnore,the FIR has to be filed there.”
