Amid protest,CAG report tabled on floor of Jharkhand Assembly

Two issues-irregularities in implementation of the Centrally sponsored schemes and acquisition of land for National University of Study and Research in Law,at Nagri village in Ranchi,rocked the third day of the ongoing session of the Jharkhand Assembly today.

As soon as the deliberations started at 11 am,the members belonging to the opposition created pandemonium on the floor of the House.The speaker CP Singh adjourned the House at 11.20 am upto 12 noon.When the deliberations resumed,some members carrying the sun baked plants of paddy came near the well.

The CPI(ML)’s sole MLA Binod Singh talking about the tragedy and pain of the displaced people of Nagri,handed over some of these plants to the state’s land revenue minister Mathura Mahato.”When the owners were not ready to give the agricultural land for the educational institution,the land should be returned to them”,said Singh as some other members belonging to the tresuary bench Shashank Shekhar Bhokta got up and lodged protest against the ruckus created by the opposition members.

Amid noisy scenes,the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General was tabled on the floor of the House.
