On the second day i.e. 27.11.2016 of the 5th International Conference on Automation & Information Technology in Iron & Steelmaking altogether 5 manufactures presented on the latest technological solution and upcoming technologies for use of Automation and IT in Iron & Steelmaking.
As many as 40 technical papers were presented by delegates who covered case studies of implementation of IT in different steelmaking processes.
The unique feature of today’s event was 6 paper presentations were made by students of various colleges and Universities belonging CSI, Student Chapters
The concluding session of the Conference was chaired by Dr. D. Mukherjee, Former Executive Director, RDCIS, SAIL. The Concluding Session discussed on the following topics:
1. Recent Developments in the field of On-line measuring instruments for quality and productivity improvement.
2. Application of Wireless Technology in various processes of Steel Making.
3. Use and benefits of Robotics application in Steel Industry.
4. ERP Implementation
5. Industry 4.0 Scenario
It has immensely benefited all exhibitors, technology solution providers, manufacturers, steel makers etc. by enriching themselves with latest technology advancement in the field of automation IT for steel industry.
