65,000 Primitive Tribe families to get pension in Jharkhand

05RanProjectbuildingGood days seem to have arrived for nearly 65 thousand families of the Primitive Tribes in Jharkhand.

The Primitive Tribes are among the poorest of the poor tribals who have been cut off from the mainstream society for long.Now,the BJP government led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das has decided to provide a monthly pension of Rs 600 to every family of these Primitive Tribes including Birhors whose population had been declining for long.

The decision was taken by the state Cabinet led by Das in Ranchi on Wednesday.Though the state government will spend nearly Rs 46.80 crore every month on this pension scheme,nearly 65,000 families of the Primitive Tribes are expected to benefit from it.

In another positive decision taken by the state Cabinet is that skill development facilities will be made available to 10,000 youths belonging to Scheduled Caste,Scheduled Tribe,Backward castes and Minorities in Jharkhand.

“A company with the caption-Pan India-will be formed by the government in this regard.It will bear the 65 percent expense of the skill development training programme”,said Jharkhand’s Cabinet Secretary Santosh Kumar Satapathy.

The rest 35 percent expense of skill developoment will be met by the concerned state bodies in Jharkhand.
