Bina Srivastava of Jharkhand is among 33 IAS officers who have sought change in their cadre states, many of them due to marriage, from the Centre.
Existing policy allows an IAS officer to choose the cadre state of his/her spouse.
The Department of Personnel and Training is looking into the proposals of officers who have sought cadre change. Of these, 13 have sought cadre change due to marriage, 16 for physical disabilities and four on other ground, a senior DoPT official said.
Seven male and six female IAS officers belonging to 2010-2014 batches have sought cadre change, citing marriage.
