Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today observed that 10 thousand Poshan Sakhi(Nutrition Sister) will soon be appointed to remove malnutrition, the root cause of Anemia.
“The welfare of the state is not possible till the state of health of the women and children is improved.In tribal infested areas,malnutrition is a common cause of problem.To deal with it,the state government has its role.To meet with the situation,the state government is carrying many schemes”,said Das in a workshop organized on ‘Malnutrition’at Vikas Bharti,Ranchi.
Das informed that in Jharkhand there were 38432 Anganwadi centres where 10,000 Nutrition Sisters will be appointed.”This year,50 percent staff of Anganwadi centres will be provided with by cycles”,he said.
The meeting was attended among others by state Agriculture Minister Ranvir Singh,Principal Secretary(Social Welfare)Mridula Sinha,Principal Secretary(Finance)Amit Khare and Vikas Vharti President Ashok Bhagat.
